Rachel Spiller
Associate Vice President
Rachel Spiller has been in Burlington for 9 years, now serving as the Associate Vice President of the Innovation Campus at Burlington, MA. She is responsible for the operational oversight of the campus and division including the finances, administration, buildings, lab buildouts, facilities, shuttle logistics, and establishing and stewarding relationships with both internal university groups and external stakeholders.
Before moving up to Burlington, Rachel worked on the Boston campus for 5 years in Northeastern’s Office of Alumni Relations and the Dean’s Office of the College of Engineering. Previous administrative positions include the Education Office at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, the Cambridge office of the Science & Technology Policy Institute, and the Science & Technology Group at Abt Associates. Prior to her administrative work, Rachel was a public-school teacher in Cambridge, Newton, and Lowell. She holds degrees from Simmons College (B.A.) and UMass Lowell (M.Ed.).
Born, bred, and still living in Cambridge, Rachel’s chief interests outside of work are cooking and family & community engagement. She is co-founder, past president, and board member emerita of the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra.
